We started back in 2011 by building an API platform that enabled businesses to communicate with their customers via Voice calls and Messaging. Today, we are amongst the leading service providers in the Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) market, which is estimated to grow to a whopping 10 billion dollars by 2021. Thousands of innovative companies rely on Plivo to add communications capabilities to their web, mobile & desktop apps.

Our investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Battery Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, and YCombinator who were also the early-stage investors in numerous successful companies like Stripe, Dropbox, and Airbnb. While we have raised some external capital, we have also been profitable since 2015 with solid unit economics and continued growth. We feel good about what we’ve achieved so far, but with such a large market opportunity ahead of us, we’re really just getting started!
